Your windows stay on your Mac.

Last updated: October 10, 2026

What Flick reads

To list and switch windows, Flick reads the names of running apps and the titles, positions and Spaces of their windows, using the macOS Accessibility permission you grant and the window information macOS gives apps. So that search can open apps that aren't running, it also looks at the apps in your Applications folders. It keeps all of this in memory only while it runs.

What Flick stores

Your settings (shortcuts, appearance, ignored apps) are saved on your Mac in Flick's preferences. Flick does not save window titles or a history of what you opened. Once you activate a license, your key will be kept in your Mac's keychain.

What Flick sends

Today, nothing. The app makes no network requests, has no analytics and needs no account. The free version will stay that way.

Licenses

Licenses go on sale with Flick 1.0, which is coming soon. When you activate a license, and when a licensed Mac checks it again now and then, Flick will send your license key, a label for that Mac (never its name, serial number or your user name) and Flick's version to Dodo Payments, which issues and keeps count of license keys. It never sends anything about your windows. We'll update this policy with any further detail before licenses go on sale.

When you buy

Purchases are handled by Dodo Payments, our payment provider and the merchant of record. It processes your payment details under its own privacy policy; we never see your full card number. We receive what we need to deliver your license and help you, such as your name, email address, country and order details.

When you email us

If you write to [email protected], we use your email address and message only to answer you and, if you asked to hear when Flick is out, to tell you once it is. We don't sell or share them. We'll never ask for a password or card details.
